Help, need driver for digi camera

I just bought a pentax digital camera, and am unable to download pictures to the computer. When I try to load up the software that comes with it, it keeps asking to go to the win 98 SE disk. When I put that in, it says it cant find the file penusb3.sys. I don't know if I have an old win 98 se disk, or what is going on. I have tried looking on the web for this file, but it is now where to be found.

Does anyone know where I can find this driver? penusb3.sys

I thought I would get the camera and would be using it within minutes. I have had it for 2 weeks now, and still can't download to the computer. Why do they make it so difficult???

Thanks for any help

Do yourself a favor and quit trying to screw around connecting the camera to the computer. Get a USB reader/writer - they are less than $50 and and much faster. They stay with your computer and all you do is slide your Pentax media into the slot - and you have it all right there.

I am on my 6th digital camera - (5 Olympus and now the Canon EOS D60) and after camera #1, I never again bothered with cables or camera software. 🙂

I put the file name into Google and got this

Good find. I looked at that site about a week ago, and thought I had found my solution. Unfortunately, what looks like a driver that it is looking for, penusbp.inf which I have, only tells it to look for the real driver penusb3.sys, which I can't find anywhere.

I think I might end up buying a CF reader, but as I am moving in 3 weeks, I think I will wait till after my move.

Thanks for the input guys.
