If you have your own that doesn't have confidential info on it, please send it this way. Someone is asking me where to find this kind of template and a google search came up with no solid leads. Anyone done one before or know how to obtain one? All she needs is a template to follow. TIA.

Our disaster recovery guide is about 150 pages long.

I think my boss might shoot me if I handed it out, sorry!

I might be able to get you one, for a price...
LOL, lots of websites are saying this too. IE. http://www.disaster-recovery-guide.com

Well...yeah.
My company paid many thousands of dollars for a consultant from SunGard to help us with ours. It was a worthwhile investment, although their PreCovery software is terrible.

Ayup...PreCovery is a PITA

We're only looking for the computer-related stuff. She's MIS, but this document is the responsibility of her manager (who's unfortunately on vacation) and it needs to be submitted by EOB today.

Right now, the gist of what she has in a few paragraphs:

- use Backup software
- keep tapes off-site
- how to retrieve backups post-disaster
- people responsible for this

That's why she needs samples of what else to write about... other ideas, etc.

You need it by today? Ouch.
How big is your enterprise?
She just needs the computer/MIS/IT portion to hand over to her boss (he compiles the full document) by today. Her company is pretty small... 1 floor of a high-rise. I don't think they have many servers to take care of.
