My original PSU is making some noises and it does not have the 8 pin plugs for the graphic card i want to get.
The guy that did my tower installed it not sure of the brand but it is a 750 watt psu and i have been reading that i dont need 750 watts anyway?
I will be using it to power a EVGA gtx 770 classified
my tower really does not have that much in it(one HDD,one dvd drive, 6 fans and a card reader.
i did want to go all modular so would this PSU be a good one?

Or should i go even lower in watts?

EVGA specs a 600W minimum PSU for that card, I think the PSU you picked is perfect.

beginners luck!:$ I am a complete noob at this!
I still have to hope i will be able to wire it up?
When i first got this gaming tower my friend did all the work and he is no longer available, so it is going to be a real treat wiring up all the components😕

The x650 is a little overkill for one 770 (it could just about handle two) and it's also way too expensive at $140. You can get an equally good seasonic SSR-650RM for much less, although the 550w version would be fine too

This ^^^

650W is overkill for any single GPU setup. $140 is a bit pricey, especially considering that PSU is only gold certified. There was a sale on the Platinum equivalent for $80 after MIR and AC. Can't really go wrong with a Seasonic PSU though, although you would definitely be overpaying for the unit you picked out and linked in OP.
