Help!! Need a name for a tech group.

We are in the process of renaming our tech support groups. Already came up with a new name for the server and network groups. They are now called Infrastructure Engineering Services.... We are now trying to come up with a name for a combined helpdesk and desktop support group. Any ideas??? Everything I have thought of so far saounds lame...

Of course you won't like that and you'll pick something like "Customer Assistance Engeneering and Support Center" and everyone with be thinking "WTF does that mean?" But someone in charge will feel special because his new title is "Supervisor of the Customer Assistance Engeneering and Support Center".

The Ministry Of User Support

By the way, the other group should have just been:
The Ministry of Communication Technology.

If you're going to give a group an obtuse, senseless, confusing name, you should at least make it sound grandiose and regal.

I find adding "The Ministry of..." accomplishes this quite well.

ANd make sure your job titles include "Minister" as in "Minister of Putting Users On Hold."

Yeah...I'm not a big fan of renaming things...but someone apparently is. Before I was Manager, Server & Network Support. Now I'm Manager, Infrastructure Engineering Services and I'm not even sure what he means. One of the VP's came up with that doozy...

I can see this was pointless. Maybe I should have made it into a "My girlfriend is cheating on me with the entire nation of Luxembourg" thread or maybe even a "what is this lump on my neck that is oozing green puss and screams occasionally? Think I should see a doctor?" thread. At least one of those would have gotten more attention.

It's not quite that pointless....

I'm not a big fan of all the name changing....but if they are going to do it I would at least like to give them a couple of suggestions. So far all I've come up with that fits what they normally do is Customer Support Services. Though i do like the whole ministry concept......better yet I have to find some way to get them to change my title to Czar instead of Manager.
