Help, Mysterious folder after Microsoft update

I use Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Sp. 3.

After a large Microsoft update a new folder has appeared on my D-drive. That is my document-drive, my programmes are usually on the C-drive.

It is called: D:\c9a7fabffc07fbbe3ae7, and it contains two subfolders: amd64 and i386. These folders both contains the following: filterpipelineprintproc.dll, xpssvcs.dll, mxdwdrv.dll, msxpsdr.inf, msxpsdr.cat, msxpsinc.gpd, msxpsinc.ppd.

Do you think that I can delete this folders without bad things happening to my computer? I worry about a spooky folder like this.

It's a temp folder MS creates for some updates. After you reboot you should be able to delete it with no harmful side effects.

It's a great site. But don't go to the Off Topic forum, you'll never escape.
