I hate that, too. It's a rat, not a pet.

Or better yet, ask if you can exchange for an optical mouse.

To the original post. Although your wife is kinda attched to it, she should also consider your feeling, too. I think you should sit down and talk to her seriously about it. She can put it for an adoption.

For those of you advocating poison and saying it's not a pet, you need to realize that to his wife, it is a pet and one's she's attached to. I think this needs to be respected, no matter how much it's disagreed with. The situation needs to be handled with that in mind.
