Help! My voltages are all over the place!

I really hope someone can help me out here.

Yesterday, I posted about having problems with my 300-watt PSU and my voltages dipping low. I've now tried two other PSUs (300-watt Seasonic; 350-watt Antec), but the problem is still happening.

I'm also getting reports that my CPU Core and CPU I/O voltages are dropping out of range, in addition to the already noted +5 and +12v lines. You'll see from the link that a regular 300-watt PSU should be more than enough to power my system.

I'm using both the Intel Active Monitor and MBM to check the voltages. Twice now, I've noticed the sensors on MBM go all out of whack, reporting the CPU temp as 0C. Things are currently stable, but I'm not doing anything on the system except typing this message.

Do I have a bad motherboard? It's an Intel D865PERLK. Are there any other possible culprits? Is there anything I can do to fix the problem, or do I have to exchange the mobo for a new one?

The really weird thing is that I got through an installation of Windows on the system just fine. Should this have been possible?

Oh yeah, and I'm not OC'ing at all. Everything is running at default settings.

Its probably just your motherboard sensors out of whack and your PSU is fine. Does that Antec have the external power connector? Either way, you could try to open it up and measure your 12 and 5 off one of the connectors while its on. Use a digital multimeter though cause analog are supposed to be bad.

I wouldn't worry as much if it were stable, but my PC was randomly rebooting yesterday. It hasn't done it yet today, but I'm still getting frequent warnings about the voltages.

I know it's not a PSU issue as I've tried three different ones with the same result.

I really can't make sense out of it. I installed Windows fine. I went through driver installations, Windows update, even ran 3dmark03 -- everything was dandy. Then I tried burning a CD to test out my burner, and things went haywire.

I just now ran 3dmark03 demo without any warnings. Then shortly after I exit out and I open up a browser, my voltages dip again and MBM goes wacky.

This is driving me nuts. :\

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but I've figured it out.

Turns out that the Intel Active Monitor and MBM do not get along with each other. I uninstalled the Active Monitor, and suddenly everything was working and reporting just fine. Strange, but true. I guess there was some conflict between the two applications that was causing all kinds of mayhem.

Anyway, for future reference to anyone running an Intel board and likes to use MBM, DON'T install the Active Monitor!
