So, my gf's computer decides to crap out and I have my old one sitting here. My vc served me fine for a few years, but apparently didn't like newer drivers.

I reboot into safe and rollback. Reboot, vc seems fine, runs for a day fine. She takes the comp home and boots up, bam, screwy picture, like it was with the newer drivers, now safemode and everything but the cmos and dos screens f-up.

So, either it's dead or I can't figure out what's really wrong.

Here's the specs on that pos: xp2800, 1gb, 5200u (70 something drivers were the new ones, old ones were 52.xx or something)

So can anyone help? If not, what would be an ok $50ish card? 6200 non-tc? I can't find any in that price range with 128bit mem bus, but would 64bit still be the best bang for my buck? I really wouldn't wanna spend more than 50 unless it's a tight deal.

She really only needs it for Sims2 and I play Dark Age of Camelot over there, nothing really spectacular, maybe a newer game on reallllly low settings.

Thanks anyone!
