Help, my system will not come up!

Again, I am having problems with my system, albeit pentium 133, but this is ridiculus. Yesterday I went to power up the system, but I get no video and the hard drive light comes on and stays on. Any idea as to what is going on?

Thanks again

What is "again"? Have you posted here before? give us a link if you have.

What have you been doing in your system recently? Has it been sealed up or have you been working in it?

I bought the machine a week ago, as a used machine, for my son. Initially, I was having video problems with an old monitor I purchased yesterday. Brought it home, hooked it up, and the system was coming up with Win95, but when it went to go to the desktop, the video just scattered the entire screen. I thought it was the monitor, so I tried another one, same thing. So I pulled the panels off the machine to check for anything coming loose, but to no avail. I did ground myself also. I left for a few hours, and came back to try again, and then the system would not boot up at all. Kept trying and trying, but nothing.

Thanks

Ab out video scattering, it sounds like the machine was being run at a higher resolution/refresh than your current monitor can handle. Boot up in safe mode (F8) and change it.

Or, just format it. That would be a better option because then you get rid of all the other guy's crap.
