I have a folder on one of my Harddrives dedicated to games. I uninstalled a program called sierra utilities that use to be for updating halflife which I no longer have on my system. I uninstalled this program and after uninstallation I found all the games I had in my game directory gone! even though windows still shows them uninstalled. Can I get them back somehow?

well.. I found that this older sierra utility had put generic hooks into the directory, and for some reason when I uninstalled it the program decided to uninstall all its programs that it would normally uninstall. However for some reason (since I had already uninstalled its programs) it uses a wildcard hooks that grabbed all the other software in the folder and deleted it.

I found it all using undelete, but it was corrupt at that point. Saved a few save files, moved them, repartitioned the drive, formatted it again just in case and have started installing all over again.
