:disgust:
I got creative inspire T7900 7.1 speakers 2 days back. I use ALC 850 / Creative SB live! 24 bit card. I tried all possible cable connections and all modes that the driver offers but the rear speakers just dont make any sound. Any geniuses there to help me.
My config:
Athlon 64 3000+
A8n SLI DlX
1024 mb RAM
Creative SB Live ! 24 bit
I guess that is more than relevant info. Plz Help

Thnx

Welcome to AT.

Rear speakers = just the rear ones don't work but the center, fronts, and surrounds all work fine?

Ok.

=Install the drivers for the live! 24-bit sound card.. Then, go into the audio console, and make sure CMSS is turned OFF... Then, in a media player such as winamp (yeah.. I use it), right click, options -> preferences -> output -> directsound -> configure -> change to your sound card -> check on allow hardware acceleration.

Sounds like you have the speakers plugged into the wrong spots at least.

Are the outputs on your soundcard color coded?

Since when did you get a custom title? :Q

Err, if you tried the SB Live! tips, it should work.

Try plugging the rear speakers to the front speakers port instead just to make sure they at least work.
