OK, that's an exaggeration, of course. But, I keep my eye on the registry due to multiple bouts with the dreaded systemced bug that has bitten me, and many others numerous times.
It has recently been at 21 MB's for quite some time. This morning I noticed it was at 24 MB. I thought this strange because I have not added anything to my hard drive, and made no changes to anything I'm aware of. Throughout the day it has been steadily growing to where it is now 30 MB's.
What could be the cause of this sudden growth spurt? What is writing to the registry? Is the systemced bug about to strike again?? Should I subject my 'puter to chemotherapy?
BTW, I' running W2K Pro, SP2.

I don't use 2k so i don't know what its like, but if something's writing garbage to your registry it could be spam or a virus. (i had some spam written into my registry so that everytime i boot i get 5 windows of "free porn" and "play on the best casino ever")
