OK, so I had an SATA RAID10 setup using 4 200GB drives in NVRAID on my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

After a crash, it refused to go past the stage where it says "Detecting array..." during post.
Tried unplugging and re-plugging cables in case something was loose, this worked ONCE, briefly before another crash, never got it to work again.

Experimenting with disconnecting drives to get past this point, I found if I disconnected the drive that was on SATA1, it would at least get past DETECTING the array, but tell me there was an error. So I am now running on the mirror (SATA3 and SATA4). If I enable RAID on SATA1 in the BIOS, it will not get past the "Detecting array" stage during boot again. If I turn the SATA1 & 2 channels on but do NOT enable RAID on them, windows crashes early in the boot process (I think this messes up the drive letters to C: is no longer C: causing problems).

How do I get up and running with the first 2 drives visible to NVRAID again so I can re-upgrade the array from RAID 0 to RAID10?

Are you overclocking? The MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum seems to have a problem with RAID on SATA 1/2 when overclocked. It could be a faulty Northbridge. Did you try resetting the CMOS?

no overclocking.

I managed to get it to boot with all drives visible to RAID again by connecting the SATA1 drive AFTER the point in the boot process where the array is detected.

Converting RAID0 back to RAID10 right now....

Upgrade back to RAID10 never succeeded. Tons of errors/crashes during the attempts.

The first drive is now dead. Makes loud scratching noises when powered on.
