Help...my pc hangs for 2 minutes if i turn on my ADSL modem while going into windows...

if my Aztech ADSL modem is off at the moment i go into windows, everything will be loaded after 10 seconds and i can immediately start using programs and play games...

but if my ADSL modem is on at the moment i go into windows, everything will be freezed and if i open a program or a game now, nothing will happen...i needa wait 2 minutes only i can start using programs...or else whatever programs or games i open, nothing will happen withing the two minutes...

i asked my friend and he said its becoz my modem is communicating with my pc that's why everything freezes...

its quite annoying that after everything is loaded, i still have to wait for 2 minutes before i can start doing anything

is it got some settings i needa tweak?

I have something like that on mine. I think it could be the modem's software trying to optimize / setup the connection. However, call your ISP and see if this is normal.

my friend who is using a different modem but same isp dun have this problem....
