help.... my KK266-r mobo shuts off a sec after it boots up

hello everyone,

i'd greatly appreciate it you could help me with my problem.

i just recently bought my mobo Iwill KK266-r, and am wondering if i need to rma this thing. so here's what happens.

when i press the power button,
the cpu fan runs for a split second,
and then it powers down.

i've tried to change my power supply... and still the same result.
i know my p/s is good, 'cause it works fine for my other mobos.
i've even tried with a different cpu... (i also bought axia 1ghz with the mobo) so i put in my older duron 750 in there... and still it gives me the same result.

i've tried every possible pin setting... with the raid on/off...
with the audio on/off... and still nothing.

i've tried with different ram... still nothing.

what could be the cause of this problem? help.

I got two of these boards the other day.

I also got 2 1.2ghz 266 athlons

Fan would just sit there trying to start, but never would. I had to shut the system down before it overheated.

Tried the second athlon with the same result.

Had some spare fans around and plugged them in and they worked ok.

Removed the stock fans from the athlons, banged them on the table (Serious, I did!) and then plugged them into a power supply to see if they would work...BINGO!

They have been working ever since.

This may not be the same problem you had tho'.
