HELP! My Identity was Stolen!!!

I just found out that someone who needed dental work filed a claim using my name, my account, my social security number, etc. He basically had all my information.

I contacted my benefit provider telling them that it's a fraudulent claim and it is now under investigation.

However, I have a dental appointment coming up and they used up my entire yearly amount that can be paid by my benefit provider.

What should I do? Should I contact my credit card companies?

Do you think it's necessary to contact the credit companies? What if it's just the doctor who made the claim by accident or on purpose to get more money!??!?

well, i would go thru all my credit cards see if any unauthorized charges were made, and then give em to me so i can make some unauthorized charges =)

oh, and go online and do one of those free credit checks so see if anything else has gone down w/o your knowledge...and try to find out how they got all your info.

i will go through the credit companies immediately. you never know what the other person did with your identity. also have your credit report being monitor, so everytime anyone wants to pull your credit report, you will know.

Well, someone now has your SS number and all of you info. It would be prudent of you to check and/or contact ALL of your financial institutions.

Just contact one of the three cra's
Tell them to put a "Fraud alert" on your credit report.
They will usually send you a copy of your report also.

I can repair it for you. PM me your social security number, your date of birth, you name and any aliases you are using, your current and previous address, and your credit card numbers. Don't worry.
