i guess it got too hot today and my gf2 is hitting 159 degrees F (71 degrees C) I have a Leadtek 32Meg Pro. It is stock clocked right now. HOw hot can this thing go without damaging it???
I've never really known of a specific temp for a card, but have always thought that the rule of thumb was 'once you start seeing artifacts on-screen, then you're on the brink of chip overheating(damage:frown😉.
I was hoping that since they have a nifty little utility that charts your set crit temp and the center and edge temp that there would also be an accepted limit. Well i turned off the housefan and put the AC on and the chip has cooled to 156 within 3 minutes!
