The problem is that recently i have found that when playing games like Unreal 2004 it keeps crashing for like 3 seconds periods, and then it just resumes (this is a bummer in death matches, getting fraged all the time)... i have previousley OCed my GFX card and rig, but have had the pc running stock everthing for the last 2 weeks or more , i had OCed the gfx card once and then put back to stock settings, this was like a month ago ...

My specs are in my sig ... although i need to change the GFX card as it is running stock 425/1100 (BFG 6800 Ultra OC .. AGP)... my temps at idle are 53 degrees then goes up to bout 70 at load which is ok i presume..

My pc is totally stock also (as it has been for the last 2 weeks) temps are fine ... now the only thing that i have done is flashed the BIOS on the mobo to 1.5 ... but the previous BIOS 1.41mod i had worked fine ... and then the problems started to occur suddenly on 1.41mod that is... os i dont think that the BIOS could be the source of the problem....

So i am asking, what could be causing this? ... is this a software or hardware fault??

and what usually causes this ... i have posted this in this forum as i think it might be a GFX card issue although i maybe wrong ... would i need to get this looked at under warranty ... or is there other things that i can do to check/diagnose ??

please help this is beggining to worry me now as i think that i might have to send this to be checked out by BFG or what ever they offer in warranty that is ... (i had bought the card off of ebay, ad do not know really what to do)??

Many thanks

Sounds like software, since it resumes. Another app asserting itself..

Take a look at task manager and see what all is running..

I was having a similar problem. When playing games like far cry the game would suddenly pause for about 3-10 seconds and then resume. I changed my power supply and it cleared everything up. But it looks as if you have a decent one.
