I just acquired an Olympus E-10 here and happy shooting.
But today during my son soccer, I noticed the lens was sluggish (very slow between shots). When the ref blew the whistle, the view finder just went black. I turned on the LCD and it was dark too but I did notice some faint light area !
I have no idea what happen and this is my first DSLR.
Am I SOL since the lens is not changeable in the E-10 ?
I would appreciate any help ... :(

um, sorry to say this, but, it's a 8 year old camera, maybe it's time to move on?

I just read dpreview on it, and I believe the len is fixed.

if you can indeed bid goodbye to your trusted camrea, the E-410 & 2 lense kit is on sale now for $500 at Amazon.

Thanks for the help andylawcc ... but you can tell that i have a lot to learn when it came to dslr ... I am not ready to spend that much yet ... the main thing I love about dslr is the ability to shoot 'live' scent in sport.

in the mean time, I am guessing the "aperture blade" got stuck?

hmm ... this is just go by my head but I guess the key note is "can I fix it ?"

Thanks fuzzy ... just my luck :(
I loved this camera even I only owned it for 2 months. It let me take shots that I would not be able before. I learned new thing everyday about dslr with the soccer season in full swing now. Think about that the next game is in 4 hours and I have to use my old P&S CX333 ...
Time to dust off my FS thread to fund another dslr !

Well I sold it to him, and I had no idea, I am not sure how many actions the camera had when I bought it either. I know I took roughly 4-5k pictures on it based on my lightroom archives (I dont delete pictures but I should) I only owned the camera from March of last year up till January though, I am unsure of its history since then.

I sent VO a pm with a few things that may help fix it.

Ouch ... guys ... I am happy with the camera that I got from Daniel. Actually, he got patient with me for all the questions I had before the sale and after the sale. He even pointed me to the dslr tutoring lesson. Well, I have no problem buying from in the future.
I got some tips from him but did not try them yet.
I shot my son soccer game yesterday with the CX333 and could not get anything right ... :( I gave up at half time. On top of that we lost an easy-win-game too ... 0 - 2
