*HELP* My DSL works, surfs great..HOW DO I SETUP MY EMAIL TO CHECK SWB INSTEAD OF MY OLD DIALUP CONNECTION?

Self explanatory. I've got the DSL modem and the associated software all up and running great. Thanks to all of you who took pity on my sorry ass and hooked me up with some guidance.

Now I've got another prob. Outlook still thinks I'm using Everyone's Internet for my connection. I've already disabled dialup in the connection profiles, but it keeps checking anyway. Advice please!

You need to change your settings in Tools | Accounts. You need to set the incoming and outgoing server to postoffice.swbell.net
I have DSL through them as well (unfortunately) and that's how I set up my email.

Go in to outlook accounts and set the preferences, if you have it on a lan make sure you set that up too

You guys rock! Not just rock....I mean you REALLY rock the house, the boat...heck, the houseboat for that matter!

There's nothing more frickin' frustrating than knowing that you're not stoooooopid, but you just can't figure this darn thing out. I did what you guys both said...but forgot to remove the old dialup connection as the default..at first. It only took me a second to realize that it was checking my old connection first because it was the default. I went in there and removed that Bad Boy. STRAIGHT TO THE RECYCLE BIN...take care now! Buh-bye! Thanks for the quick response....I was about ready to shoot something. Have a super weekend.

BTW...DSL reports says I DL at 377KBS....but I downloaded a patch off of Gamespot.com...and got a whole 10kbs...whusupwiddat?
