HELP, my computer won't turn on for more than 2 seconds.

Hi there..and HELP.

A couple weeks I toasted my motherboard and processor by hot-plugging a serial port with my digital camera, so I bought a new ASUS A7V motherboard for my new AMD Duron 600. However, after plugging everything in, it doesn't turn on for more than 2 seconds! just turns on, and turns off. Do you guys think my power supply is damaged somehow? I know its got enough wattage according to the specs. Its specially built for AMDs and I know nothings wrong with my RAM. Do you guys think maybe the power supply's damaged? I don't know, it worked with some other motherboards. I'll appreciate any help you can give me, thanks.
 
Well, i remember having this problem when i first built my system.

Can't remember exactly what i did, but i think i pressed the restart switch several times. Then went to the bios and changed a setting. Try doing a search. I believe there were a couple of posts about it.
 
Hm...thanks alot man.but I searched under A7V and your name and sifted through what seemed like all of them..I didnt quite find a solution...got any advice? Does it have anything to do with power supply you think?
