help! My computer won't boot

It used to work. I left it for a month, then my system won't turn on at all! It doesn't seem to be getting enough electricity to start. It doesn't activate at all. The standby LED is on. The additional CPU and VGA power plugs are connected. Is it my power supply that is messed up or something else?

Here are the relevant specs:

Clio 450W Dual Rail
DFI NF4 Ultra-D
AMD 3200+ Venice
OCZ voltage series 2x512MB
Radeon X800XL 256MB

Thanks

What happens when you press the power button? Any spinning up? Anything? Are ALL the power connectors into your motherboard connected? (5V, 12V molex, 4 pin, 24 pin connector)???

When I press the power button (on the motherboard to make sure it's not just the case), the fans do not start. Nothing happens; it's as if I didn't press the power button. The standby LED remains on standby. All 4 (2 for VGA, 2 for MB/CPU) of the connectors are connected.

Another weird thing is that when I connect the PS to my case that has a display, the case displays everything properly. Once I connect it to the MB, the display dims and doesn't display anything anymore. Going direct without the case hasn't helped.

Do you think it's my power supply? Or maybe my MB?

If you got a spare PSU available (local neighborhood nerd or friendly computer shop) you can hookup and check it.
Sometimes a local surge can burn out your system, if you don't have a backup UPS on line.

No lites, no movement in PSU, get a replacement.

I will try it out with a different PSU some time. Thanks.

It's weird though, cuz the PSU can supply power to my case perfectly fine, and it also makes the Motherboard standby LED light up.

I tried shorting the power supply to activate it, and it works. Is it possible for the power supply to only be partially busted and be capable of a lower power output rating only?
