HELP My computer thinks I'm pressing the power button~!

This could be a hardware problem because I made the switch myself (it's SPST & momentary & normally OPEN)
But somehow, my computer will just start to shut down.

In Display Properties > Screen Saver > Power > Advanced when I changed from "Shut Down" to "Standy" for When I push the Power button it would say "Going to Standby"...

I don't understand why my power switch could be doing that - but I'd like to "hack" windows (win2k pro) to "Do Nothing" When I push the Power button...
