HELP My ASUS A7V133 seems to have problems with setup files and compressed files

A little few programs can not be installed, the setup fails at 99% (like ICQ 2000B) ,

and with some compressed files I can't open them.
Sometimes I have an error message "CRC corrupt, the file is damaged",
but the file is not damaged, I'm sure because the files were tested on another PCs.

I'am sure that the guilty is the bios, no doubt

because when I'm upgrading to 1005 bios it's better for setup programs and compressed files.

But with some files I can not still open them.

My system:
ASUS A7V133 revision 1.05 , 1005 Bios
Duron 800
512 Mo
Win ME
Via 4in1 4.32
Hardisk IBM DTLA 30 Go 7200 75GPX

Help me please

What els you got on? You have SB Live sound card on ur system?
If you do that might be ur problem.
Run all the patches, fixes, drivers from via and the drivers for the SB live and VIA chipset on the Creatives site.
That might solve ur problems if you have the SB Live.
If you think its the BIOS try to old one.
Or find the lastest BIOS.

Good luck!

Thank you,

but I don't have a SB live.

I think it's probably a conflict with a DLL runtime from Via 4in1 Drive.

With the 1004 bios I have a lot of problem with this files "corrupted",

With 1005 bios it's better but it's not perfect.

I'm waiting a new bios who could resolve this little problem.

Hey Boonesmi ur system allows you to load the OS when you got it OCed too far?
So thats might be my friends problem.
On mine the OS dont even load. I got all possibles errors and things possible during the OS loading.

Thnx!!!
