HELP! My Age of Mythology had two Disk #2's in it!!! Pic inside.

SO GHEY! Went to install it, and was like, uhhhh, wtf is this BS? Tried them both just in case it was mis-printed on the CD, but no go.

That ever happen to anyone before? I dunno wtf to do. Was purchased by a friend who has a friend (etc, etc) that works at Microsoft. So I can't exactly take it to another retail store for exchange. I talked to MS customer service and they gave me a # for some replacement department, but they won't be open till monday.

Anyone ever have this problem and go directly thru MS for a fix?

if walmart sells that game just go get an exchange there. say it was a gift and u dont have a reciept. i did that when i got the back to the future trilogy on dvd and it had 2 discII's and no discI.

How did your friend of a friend of a friend print on his burned CDs?

Cuz they aren't burned smart guy. I can't take it to a retail store, because there is the big round sticker on the front of the box that says "Microsoft Company Store Purchase, not to be sold" along with their employee #. The stickers don't come off either.

Well, the CS guy didn't know if they'd be able to help. He was going to give me a different number, but then was like, "Why don't you actually call this one instead".

So I guess my question is if anyone has ever had a damaged/missing MS application CD and if they ever had it replaced by them.

that looks like a legit copy bought from the MS company store.

Yes! I had a combat flight simulator 1 cd that could only be read about halfway through. Don't know why it was like that. It worked ok when i first bought but a couple months later i was reinstalling the game and it was impossible to get halfway through the install. I called MS customer service (don't recall where i got the number from) and explained the problem to the rep. He said ok and asked me for a number off of the back of the cd case which i gave him and a few days later a brand spankin new sealed in the case cd arrived. I wasn't required to provide any proof of purchase either just the number off the cd case he asked for.

Sweet! So looks like I just have to wait a week or so to check out the game. Hopefully the 9700 Pro that's being delivered on monday will help ease my pain....😉

I myself didn't like this game, but hope u will. I would say since you have the actual game, have someone burn a copy of cd1, till it gets taken care of. That would be a backup copy legally i think?

Yeah, I was thinking about that. When my buddy went to the Company store with his buddy or cousin or whatever that works there, they picked up close to 10 copies of it so we could all get some challenges going. I'm sure between one of the several people that ended up with it I can get a burn of disc 1 till I get the actual one. Then again, i'm in no huge rush to jump in to it. Counterstrike and EQ keep me pretty happy 🙂
