HELP! MSI-K7T Turbo shows my 1GHz T-Bird as a 750mHz! WHY? (Problem solved due to stupidity)

Oh this is just great! I'm building a new system for my Bro, then this happens:
Upon boot, the screen shows an AMD 750mHz processor. Windows ME shows the same. The first I.D. line on the T-Bird shows it's a 1000. I bought a 1 gig (bare). The package even says 1000mHz T-Bird.
So, what's up? Why is this happening now? I have built 6 other systems based on the T-Bird and have never seen this problem yet!

It's not unlocked. No OC'ing either. I let the BIOS auto configure the processor bus and multiplyer. But this has nothing to do with the I.D. comming off the T-Bird itself.
Is their such a thing as AMD making 750's with a 1Gig ID tag?
Any help would be great!😕

Well, I just came across my first 1gig T-Bird w/266 Front Side Bus. My Bro has only PC100 memory so we ran the bus at 100. Get it? 133x7.5=995mHz.😱

We will get a stick of PC133 tomorrow.

YES! It is set to default.
I emailed AMD about this problem.
Im going to run CPUID on it and see what it shows!

Thanks anyway!😕
