When i tried to set up this new system. The motherboard give no responce. The D-led on the motherboard show 4 red led which show power is on but no further than that(motherboard int speaker not beeping too).....the motherboard did not initiate the chipset.....Is this a defective Motherboard? or any thing might cause this problem like power supply, connector switch? any idea???

Help will be appreciated. Thanx

One problem with the K7T TURBO boards is that the manual is wrong. :confused:Check the GREEN CMOS jumper and make sure it is on the TOP TWO pins. The manual has it backwards and this is the position for KEEP DATA. I have seen a number of these boards shipped with the jumper on the clear data (bottom two) those boards would not fire up when I installed them. If you move the jumper to the correct position it fires right up. You may want to change this in your manual as well.

However usually when I ran into this there was no response from the D-LED.

4 red may mean the CPU is damaged, bad motherboard or once I found a bad power switch on the case.

hey, I also had that problem with my MSI K7T Pro2a. It was a dead Tbird, I chipped the core while removing a HSF. good luck.
