HELP! MSI Installer freezing. PLS!

ever since I cleaned my registry for spam Im not able to install any apps via the msi installer, when it gets to the point where its enterint the registry keys of the installation it just hangs and stays like that, also when I try uninstall its the same

please if anyone knows how to reinstall msi installer or any help would be greatly appreciated cause im not going to reinsall windows just for this.. IM using XP

It's the same version (2.0) for XP. You should be able to replace the one you have with this one.

Doesent work I just tried it, says wrong os or version when extracting. Ill tell you what I did, after installing splinter cell pandora tommorow I was having problems with it so I when uninstalling I had issues reinsalling, so I went to my reg and removed every instance stored in the keys abling me to install fresh again. After this is when it all happened,

restores did not work, I had my reg saved from a month before, imported it and same issue, I just d/l sp2 but it doesent install cause it uses msi to install. Im screwed man, I tried everything

my spybot freezez when attempting to fix problems too.

I think its a sad day when I have to reinstall windows to fix a problem but thats what its comming to///

Try going back to a system restore point before the problem occured.

What exactly were you doing in your Registry? Did you make any backups of your registry files (or at the very least, a system restore point)? A corrupt registry with no backup generally requires a reinstall to fix things.
