Hi,
After a couple of years without major problems I now have a problem with my setup, which inhibits it from booting properly. I boot on a 200 GB WD HD on Primary master IDE assigned as C:.
As indicated below I have 2 30GB WD HDs in a RAID-0 configuration with one partition assigned as D:, and these seem to be the source of the problem.
If I disable the onboard Promise Fasttrak 100"lite" RAIDcontroller in the BIOS the system starts without any problem, but of course also without access to the RAID-0 disks.
If I enable the raid controller in BIOS the system recognize the RAID-0 setup and declares the array for functional.
However the subsequent boot of Windows XP stops resonding after the display of the Win XP logo (with running statusbar) and before the display of the logon screen. No error message is shown and it just stops with a black screen.
What can I do to get XP up and have access to the RAID disks and at least see what XP stumbles over of problems?
All help would be appreciated as I really want to recover my data on these disks.
Thanks
