HELP! Mouse LEDs still on even after system shutdown on Shuttle AN35 ULTRA Mobo.

I have an IBM Scrollpoint Optical Mouse and it has a Scrollpoint button in the middle that lights up blue when powered up. On my new Shuttle AN35 Ultra mobo the blue light stays on even after I shutdown my WinXP Pro computer. I remember owning another motherboard where the optical sensor stayed on even after shutting down the computer but I no longer remember what motherboard that was nor whether or not there is a fix to this.

Does anyone know how to get the mouse to power down with the rest of the computer during shutdown?

Thanks in advance!

Disable keyboard power-on in the BIOS. If that doesn't work, check for a jumper up near the PS/2 ports that enables wake-on-keyboard and set it to disable.

Or you can attach the mouse to a USB connector, if it is a PS/2 / USB mouse.

if there is a power switch on the back of the power supply, it should turn the mouse led off after 5 seconds or so. Or use the switch on your surge supressor, if not.
