HELP! Motherboard/RAM Issues!

Hey,

I am having trouble using Buffalo Firestix with my P5B-E motherboard. The RAM occasionally works, but other times when the computer boots up, I get the memory error via BIOS beeps (1 long, 3 short). When I contacted Asus support, the man told me that the motherboard could be conducting static between the metal and the motherboard, even though I am using standoffs, which could cause problems with the motherboard. Basically, both RAM sticks have worked together at least once, and each one has worked seperately. Sometimes I have to put the RAM in different DIMM slots for them to work.

use memtest86 and check the RAM

the mobo is good, so i think it's the crappy RAM that might be the source of those error messages

I can't even get the computer to get past POST without the memory error, so I will RMA the memory.
