HELP!!!...Motherboard Problem!!!

I think this problem is due to my motherboard...well, first of all i can't enable agp 4x, i installed the latest drivers from N Vidia, and even from Creative, (btw i have an Anihilator Pro card). This card could be enabled as agp 4x with the original driver and for some reason, when i upgrade the driver my computer recognizes it as a 4x card, but i can't enable 4x (it says that my Motherboard is only capable of 2x)...

Second, i can't enable Dma/66 I know that my HD is dma/66 and my mb is SUPPOSSED to support it, i installed the latest via drivers and still no luck...

The last thing is sometimes my computer won't shut off, it just hangs at the last win98 splash screen. And there are also times that it won't even go on when i push the damn button!!!...well i know the last problem is a mb problem cuz i changed power supplies and i'm still having this problem...

Oh yah btw, i checked all my BIOS settings and i have agp 4x enabled and DMA enabled...i dunno wtf is going wrong it's driving me NUTZ!!!

Firstly, how are you determining that you are not running AGP4X and that you are not running in UDMA-66 mode?

There isn't much difference between 1X and 4X. I read a review a while back that showed that in some cases 4x was actually slower. Maybe a some bios updates have addressed the problem since then. Have you applied all of the windows updates? There was one for the shutdown problem in win98.

Yup, all the windows updates have been taken care of...
Oh yea...and if it's not that much of a difference i shouldn't care too much about the agp then huh?...
that still leaves those other 2 problems...
