HELP!! Motherboard not working!!

I am in need of help from anyone who knows anything about motherboards. I have an Asus motherboard with an LX chip with built-in video and built-in sound. When I try to boot it up, my monitor shows a blank screen even though the motherboard can turn on. I know the CPU and RAM are fine because it's working on my system right now..but not on that motherboard. Is this a BIOS problem? or what else can it be? please let me know! thanks!

did you buy this new or used? It could be possible that whoever had it last disabled the onboard video. in which case you might have to put a video card in it, or reset the bios to default settings (close the 2 pins on the bios reset jumper)

also do you get any beep codes? make sure you have a system speaker hooked to the board and see if it beeps. the codes will tell you what the problem is. off hand I don't know what the codes mean.. but im sure someone here does, or knows where you can find out.

Try the board with a sperate vid card, see if it defaults to it.

Does the monitor take a power signal at all (i.e. no signal opposed to being sent nothing)

There are only 2 ASUS LX motherboards with built in sound and graphics....the P2L-VM and the P2L-N. The first one is a micro-ATX board, the second is an NLX board designed for thos "bookcase" PCs. Both have an onboard ATi Rage IIC chip as the graphics, and have NO AGP slot.

Just make sure that you seat everything properly, then you might want to try clearing the CMOS by shorting the CLRTC jumper pins.
