help: monitor loses signal during game

hey, was wondering if anyone knows the source of this problem. during games, monitor loses signal during game, then after minute resets. currently only playing wolfenstein and medal of honr. but this happens sometimes. other times i can play for an hour with no problems.

system:
mb: bh6 first revision (latest bios)
cpu: celeron 850
video card: vistiontek geforce2 gts-v (from newegg) (drivers tried: 23.11 & 21.83
ram: 512mb
unknown 250watt power supply that came with case
os: win xp pro

i figure it's motherboard or power supply. but anyone know? or know ways of finding out exact problem? when i switch back to old voodoo3-2000, no problems.
 
did you uninstall the old video drivers? also is monitor power saving turned on? if so you might consider setting it for a longer time, or turning it off. maybe someone else has some ideas?
