Help modding a case to include front audio port

My current Antec case does not have any front audio ports. I never gave it a thought when buying the case, but having a front audio jack would be really convenient. I'm getting tired of plugging my headphones into the audio jack on the back of the computer.

My options are:

1) buy desktop speakers for the computer that include an audio port

or

2) buy this and mod the case: http://frontx.com/cpx090_v1.html (the front panel of the case includes removable 5.25" plates made out of plastic. I could easily drill a hole for the cable and glue this frontx to the front of that plate. $5.70 plus shipping seems a bit pricey to me though.

or

? (Does anyone have any other ideas - and yes I realize I could buy a new case with front audio ports but I'm happy with my current case and looking for a more cost effective alternative)

Thanks!

Get a 3.5mm audio extension cable and run it from the back, either

1) Through the case by way of an expansion slot cover, and mount to a front plate
2) Run it up your desk and just plug your headphones into the extension on your desk

Pick one up at Radioshack or something
