I was using a Microsoft Wireless Desktop (Keyboard and mouse) for some weeks now. It worked perfectly till yesterday. But today when I turned the computer on, all three lights in the wireless receiver were lit but the keyboard and the mouse were not working. I tried changing the batteries and checked the connections but it did not help. It seems that the receiver is not detecting these devices. Any ideas for a possible solution to this problem?

The configuration of my computer:
Asus P4p800 Deluxe Motherboard
P4-2.4C, Radeon 9500 Pro, Seagate HDD,
Crucial PC3200 DDR 512 MB
Windows XP Pro

Try uninstalling both the mouse and the keyboard and then reinstalling the devices.

Thanks, but I tried that. It is not even recognized when the bios is setting up. I don't think it is a software problem. Just wanted to know whether anyone has a similar problem and the possible remedy.
