Some of you might have encountered this as i did...

If you use the above program to create a LAN, somehow a firewall is set up and files cannot be sent to you via some programs e.g.ICQ.

Anyone know how to bypass that?

With ICS, you are basically using NAT, so port forwarding is
required for some situations.

There is a program out called ICSConfig that will let you
map the ports (google it).

If that doesn't help, simply disable internet connection sharing
temporarily (icon on toolbar), and it'll be good to go on the host
machine.
