Help me people! I don't have the guts to pry the heatsink from my 1GHz tbird for fear of breaking the core/mobo Someone, please tell me some success stories to get me pumped The whole scaremongering idea propogated by several people has really put the fear of god into me whenever I want to do anything ot the CPU... I was thinking of unlocking the CPU, to unlock the full potential of my 1GHz AXIA

um........ just unhook the heatsink and take it off. where is there any prying?

Just make sure the heatsink stays completely horizontally when unhooking it, until the second clamp is without pressure... So the force is evenly distributed on the core...
