I am looking for a gaming laptop that can run minecraft shaders pretty decently and Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Ultra settings. I have a budget of $1.5k. I have been looking at Alienware, MSI, and Asus. Please help, thanks.

you're probably looking at a quadcore i7 + 970m given your budget.

The 970m might not be sufficient given how poorly optimized euro truck simulator 2 seems to be?
the GTX 760/960 desktop is probably the closest performing example to the 970m, putting it around ~35 FPS in most cases at 1080p ultra as per youtube, though multiplayer and rotterdam seems to bring even a desktop GTX 970 to it's knees.

the sager has an option for IPS display

the gigabyte p34w is a nice option if you want something more portable, but it tends to be over $1500
