1. Find an apartment complex, dorm, etc. Anywhere lots of people live with community dumpsters.
2. Go dumpster diving.
3. Haul findings home.
4. Have giant garage sale, or Ebay the stuff.
5. Profit.

Or, just get creative on Ebay. Sell worthless stuff (a half eaten sandwich, for example). Come up with funny/clever descriptions. Like get an empty ziploc bag, fill it with air, seal it, and sell it as "Britney Spears fart in a bag". People will buy anything if you make the description good enough.

It shouldn't be too hard to raise $50 CDN
