They asked you to write a thank you letter? Thats weak.

You should write it because you feel obligated.

I would have written something within a week, but the way it's shaping I think I need to turn bring it in tomorrow, and my new gal pal is too busy writing a paper. Haven't made new friends in the new city yet.

The future of mankind is bleaker because of you. That is, unless you're trying to get your Masters in Mimeology. OK. Even then...

It's really sad that you can't write a thank you letter in under 15 or 30 or 45 minutes. Did you cheat your way through college? Just have to ask.

I was really just asking for advice, dude. I just don't know what is expected in this situation. I'm bad at etiquette.

Thanks dude. But if writing a thank you letter is so hard for you at this point after all of your education, I feel sorry for you. Not in a bad way, just a funny way.

And you didn't ask for advice dude. Read your OP. You wanted someone to write it for you dude.

I just hate cover letters, statements of purpose, thank you letters. I just hate writing about myself. I'm good at concepts, just not me. I hate it when a professor asks me to bring my experience to bear on an issue within a paper.
