Help me get a list going of Good PC Games for Christmas. So far games enjoyed include Warcraft 3, Star Wars Jedi Outcast, Deus EX, Sytem Shock 2, UT, Quake 2. Never really got into games like Homeworld (where you direct ships in space). Maybe interested in War games (MOHAA, RTCW). Definately like Good Graphics and sound. What do you people recommend. Thanks :)

If you like multiplayer, Battlefield 1942 & expansions. Also, Jedi Academy, Call of Duty, Max Payne 2, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, RTCW are all good single-player games. Rise of Nations and Age of Mythology with The Titans expansion are good RTS games.

The last 3 games I've played were all amazing:

Max Payne 2 (a bit short, but good and campy.... "I'll give him his gun back..." <click click> "... one bullet at a time.")
Call of Duty
Knights of the Old Republic (absolutely amazing game... I actually play Pazaak with a guy at work here to pass the time)

And, even better, all three of these played perfectly on a ti4200 128mb at at least 1024x768 with all details (ran Max Payne2 at 16x12).

Agreed...all you need for Xmas this year is Knights of the Old Republic and Call of Duty.

Don't forget the older ones. New games aren't all good. Good games aren't all new.

<--- agrees

Some older games that have already been mentioned, but ones that I really enjoyed are RTCW, GTA3: Vice City, and Medal of Honor.

Silent Storm if you like Turnbased Strategy games. This game rocks :)

You've gotten me intrigued - I'm going to try the demo tomorrow. Gamespot lists it as being released 1/20/04 (US, I'm assuming).

Thanks for the info. I love small unit tactics - a la X-com.

Call of Duty... I've only played the demo. Should be getting it for Xmas. After just the two demo missons... wow! Very nicely done.

RTCW, MOHAA, and BF1942 are great WWII era games; Call of Duty has very good reviews.

Jedi Academy is pretty good as is Age of Mythology. I also like Max Payne 2 and Serious Sam 1 & 2 was a blast to play.

Call of Duty.
Amazingly good. Amazingly short.

Then balance it up with Hidden and Dangerous 2, which should take you a little longer to finish...

Thanks everyone. I've had to scratch Deus Ex: Invisible War off the XMAS list. So I really appreciate your suggestions. Please keep'em coming :)

Add 'Savage' to the list, its multiplayer only.
And its a great one at that. Best muliplayer of the year IMHO.

I agree on CoD and KotOR.

EDIT There is Savage demo, try it before you buy it . :)

You can order the imported English Language European release of Silent Storm from www.gogamer.com if you would like it a little sooner that January.
