Help me with wifi sync iphone - ipad - PC

I detest iTunes so much I can't even think straight. Anyway.

Wife has an iPhone and an iPad. She never touches the PC. I need to set it up so her devices will sync over wifi to the PC. I had to set up two different PC accounts so syncing our iPhones will keep them separate (found that out the hard way - first time I tried to sync her iPhone, it ended up putting everything on both of our phones. I didn't know iTunes wouldn't recognize two different iPhones and keep their data separate.)

So I have a PC account for her just so she can sync her iPhone. But since she never uses the PC, it's always logged into my account.

The question is: does that mean we can't use wifi sync for her devices? I can't go through another round of trying to separate her stuff from mine if iTunes decides to merge everything from all devices.

I don't see any point to using wifi sync if she never is logged into the PC. I'll just keep doing what I do now and log into her PC account to sync with a USB connection as a backup, then log back into my PC account.

Itunes will sync a new phone as if you needed it restored from the backup of your phone. You can customize her phone and then they will both be separate. No need to have separate accounts.

I am not sure why your phones merged. iTunes sucks, but it can tell the difference between two (or, in my case, 6, iPhones).

Honestly, it was probably an honest and easy to make mistake on your part.

As for wifi syncing, I have never been able to get it to work reliably on my Mac, so, good luck with your PC.
