Help me with saving images off the internet!

Every time I try to save an image that is on the internet, I am able to only save it as a bitmap. Just a week ago, I was able to save it in the format of the original image. Now, even if the image is a JPG, BMP, or GIF I am only able to save it as a BMP. What the hell happened? I didn't mess with any settings at all. Please help!

EDIT - One thing I noticed is I can save thumbnail pics in their respective format, but once I click on the pic to enlarge it, and then try to save it, it lists the pic as "Untitled" and only saves it as a Bitmap.....argh.

EDIT II - Nevermind, I got it. I deleted all cookies and all temp. internet files, rebooted and now it is a-ok.
