help me with raid!!!!

ok guys i got the raid setup as stripe and now i want to load an os on, how do i do it it doesnt recognize the drives. I have no manuals because this is my friends setup and he forgot to give them to me. the board is an EP-8k3a+ with 2 40 gig maxtors. There is are 2 cds that came with the board one for the raid i think and then the epox drivers. help me out.

U loading XP or 2000 I hope? b/c if U R @ the beginning of the load it say something like hit F6 if you have 3rd party RAID software to load.

U have to do that there...insert the correct media and load it...then proceed w/ the installation. It sounds to me like U have all the right disks and stuff...just look for that (man I hope that U R doing XP or 2k...b/c i have NO clue about linux)

of course im loading windows 2000 on this machine. in my mind there are only 2 operating systems that exist windows 2000 pro/server and windows xp pro. thanx for the help im sure it will work. thanx for the comment on my username too.

np d00d! Just helped a friend do the same w/ something of a similar motherboard...he had to load the RAID drivers just to operate a single HD off of the RAID controller...guess it makes sense now...I couldn't figure it out then though... must have been tired then too

yup the beast is loading win2k as we speak. My friend gave me no floppy so i had to make my own. man this is a sweet machine except for the fact that he insists on delta fans. he calls it white noise. but i promised him he wont be sleeping through this 80 or so cfm 80mm delta.
