Okay, now the traditional way seems to be grabbing rome EPROM chips, burning the software to it, and sticking it to your nic. This won't do because it's way too difficult to achieve and expensive.

This and this blurb discusses about adding the the etherboot code into the motherboard bios chip with software tools. Also, this this rather lengthy thread in Ars discusses about possibility of ECS K7S5A having netboot abilities.
Now, the links I've found are pretty obscure, and partly dated. What I'd hope for is that you fellow teammembers could google, pry your neighbours, bribe CIA or whatever to find any other relevant links and information about this subject.
If we can find a working solution, this will make some very 1337 crack nodes
