Here is a copy of a e-mail I sent to Samsung 1 month ago. Since I have no answer from them I was wondering if someone over Anand forum's could help me:
Hi, my question is about my SyncMaster 757mb refresh rate in computer games.
First let me say that I'm aware of nvidia geforce2 refresh problem in game with windows ( allways a refresh rate of 60hz ) and i've installed the latest nvidia driver who are suppose to adress this problem and I'm also using a program call nvrefresh.
Ok now the probleme...In any games I can't go to a refresh rate highter than 65hz with two exeption, warcraft 3 and max payne wich i can go 85hz. I had a LG Flatron 795ft+ two month ago and i didn't have any problem of the kind (with the nvrefresh tool installed of course).
In the monitor OSD there's a dispaly timing menu, is it only there for information??? cause I can't do a thing with it ( btw that's where i know my refresh rate isn't good ). Is it normal i'm in N/P in 1024 or 1280 or 1600?
And if it existe a way to change it to P/P it would correct the problem cause in P/P it indicate the selected refresh rate...85hz.
