The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'sxxx@xxx.com'. Subject 'Technology Services - Computer Tech (Technology Services Coordinator)', Account: 'pop.we.mediaone.net', Server: 'smtp.we.mediaone.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <sxx@xxx.com>... Relaying denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I frequently get these type of errors when sending emails.. and I guess "time" is usually the solution.. did I misconfig my email settings or something?

The server might just be rejecting your mail as "JUNK" mail. It might not be your side that has the problem but theirs. They might have their filter set to high security or something. I have mine set to medium, and it filtered out my warcraft 3 beta. Gay huh?

link appears to be the solution according to the thread 911paramedic linked.. but just like doggiedogg.. im lost

Relaying denied means that you're sending it to the server, but you're not on their network.

Try: mail.attbi.com

Mediaone doesn't exist any more and, for me at least, I have to start using ATT's servers.

so for pop and smtp use " mail.attbi.com " ?

the thing is I can receive mail with no problems... problem is outgoing mail..
