Got that memorex 6142u scanner from staples.(actually got two)
Here is the story: Tried to install on three different systems. My grandpa's amdk6-300 w/win 98se, my t-bird system with 1.0ghz w/win98se, and my friends el cheapo walmart special celeron with winxp(this system about one week old). It never detects either freaking scanner. Gets to the point where it says "drivers installed, please plug in scanner and wait for it to be detected, then push finish" I have waited and it never picks it up. Have hit finish anywayz and nothing happens, re-boot, re-install, etc... anyone have any ideas? Usb enabled in all their bioses and driver support says for win98,2000,xp......
