Help me with my net please m'am

Ok, for some reason whenever i try to play a game online after a few minutes my dial up networking will jus stop sending and receiving data but i won't get kicked. Then afterwards if i even try to play single player it will do this. Now if i don't play multi and jus stick to singplayer it won't mess up. I have reformated and found out this is the excat problem. Could it possibly be my ISP? (msn)
